Police say that unknown persons shot and killed six laborers in the Kech area of Baluchistan on Saturday morning.
Speaking to reporters, DPO Imam Bakhsh said that the incident took place in the early hours of the day when a group of reformers entered a residence in the satellite town of Turbat. I entered and brutally shot and killed the workers.
The DPO further said that the deceased were staying in the house of a local contractor when they were hit by the terrorists.
As soon as the information was received, the Baluchistan police reached the spot.
DPO Imam Bakhsh said that the FIR will be registered in the CTD police station and efforts are being made to find out the motive behind the attack and the CTD will investigate the attack.
Imam Bakhsh said that seven people have also been injured in this attack and they are being given medical aid in the local hospital. Their names are Rizwan, Shahbaz, Wasim, Shafiq Ahmed, Muhammad Naeem, Ghulam Mustafa, and Toheed among the injured.
Interim Chief Minister of Baluchistan Ali Mardan Khan Domki has expressed deep sorrow and grief with the deceased and has sought an immediate report on the incident.
He has strongly condemned the incident and said that it is condemnable to kill the workers in such a merciless way.
The Chief Minister asked the investigators in Baluchistan to submit to me a complete report from all angles of the incident as soon as possible and to use all available resources to arrest those responsible.
Governor Baluchistan Malik Abdul Wale Khan expressed regret over the loss of life in the attack and said that the law enforcement agencies were requested to bring those responsible for this incident to justice and do the job as soon as possible.
The two workers who died had planned to go home a day ago, but now their bodies are on their way
Shafiq and Sikandar, laborers working in the Turbat area of Baluchistan, planned to go to their village Shujaabad on Saturday. Shujaabad is located near Multan.
The local contractor said that out of Shafiq’s labor money, he was given 8,000 rupees and the remaining 16,000 of Shafiq, the local contractor said, “I will deliver you to your village among the dead workers.” Shafiq and Sikandar were also included who had planned to go back on Saturday.
After the contractor ate, Sikandar had only 25 hundred rupees, so Sikandar canceled the program to go back, this money is not even the fare to reach Multan.
Five of the dead laborers belong to the city of Shujaabad, Punjab, and two brothers of contractor Niaz, an uncle, and a maternal uncle, and close relatives are also included in the dead.
Niaz’s friend from the Narowal district is also among the dead.
Turbat Police has termed the incident as a targeted killing. Under the provisions of terrorism, a case has been registered against unknown persons in CTD police station Makran.
The responsibility for this incident has been accepted by the banned organization Baluchistan Liberation Army.
The bodies of the workers killed in Turbat on Sunday have been brought to Multan by the government of Baluchistan in its helicopter. The Chief Minister of Baluchistan was present at the time of dispatching the bodies, while Deputy Commissioner Kich Hussain Baloch also went to Multan along with the dead bodies of the workers in the helicopter.
The government of Baluchistan has said that the compensation of the dead workers and the injured workers will be paid soon by the government of Baluchistan.
This incident took place at around 1:30 in the night. Among the injured workers, Toheed Ghulam Mustafa and Imran have said that at around 1:30 in the night, two masked reformers jumped over the wall and entered and lifted them. And wake them up from their sleep and bring them down from the roof.
They blindfolded six of the dead and shot them dead before fleeing on a motorcycle.
Among these laborers, Imran, who is about 13 years old, the armed men left Imran because of his young age.
Niaz said that on the night of the incident, I sat with him till around 9 p.m.
Perhaps by Allah, this was my last meeting with them. After only four hours, all these friends of mine passed away.
